Hello again! So I heard you like drawing obscure characters? I'm gonna go real obscure an suggest a set of characters who really only appear within the second-to-last episode of Challenge Of The Gobots:

The Dread Launchers! From left to right the characters are Chaos, Re-Volt, and Traitor (Sorry that Chaos is a bit hidden here :/)

What in Hell is Bad? (Belated) First Impressions

...AKA "This Hole Was Made For Me (But Oh God There Are Worms In Places)" XD;

Before I get into this, let me preface by saying I love otome games and have never played a Tower Defense game before. That is to say, I'm intrigued by the gameplay but am still in the "learning curve". With that settled, some bullet point'd impressions!

I've only able to actually play properly since yesterday, when all the crashes were finally fixed. (I do hope they fix the shop for the people who want to pay, though)

The quiz at the start immediately got me hyped! I knew I'd be having fun when I got to the "You've been trapped in an Angst Novel as a side character" question and one of the answers was "Create a 21+ romance out of it that's lewder than the original". My language, WHB (mostly) speaks it! XD

Actual R18 harem romance in an mobile otome game that isn't the Ikemen series('s non-canon events), truly incredible

STORY IMPRESSIONS

It's funny, I'm aware that the translation is very literal in places and does need to be fixed, but there are also lines I genuinely adore and hope stick around. (Gabriel's introduction, for example. Gorgeous, ethereal language that perfectly fits an angel.)

On that note, I'm an absolute sucker for stories that deal directly with (Fallen) Angels, Devils, and what love and free will means for them. The plot so far is such catnip for me it's not funny

I also have a fascination with fetishes and what they could add to characters, and most of these I've only ever seen in research papers. Having them be this integral is like a dream...

...I'll cry in frustration if there's another hand fetishist who chops off people's hands again though. JUST BUY A MANNEQUIN'S

Minheok is way more interesting than I thought he'd be. Hearing him speak Korean compared to everyone else's Japanese (or "Celestial/Devilish" if you will) is really fun. :D

I'm loving the MC, even as I'm also adjusting her (in my case) for "OC with some self-insert" purposes. Love that she's so horny, love that she has a wide-range of tastes as a cute nod to the "MC gets along with everyone" trope, and love that she wants to make Gabriel cry!!

After Beelzebub (quiz starter) and Sitri, the third Devil to have my heart was Valefor. He's my MC's big teddy bear who protects everyone ;v;

GAMEPLAY

The Secret Shop truly is secret, I haven't seen it yet

I'm loving being able to buy gacha currency with in-game money (pancakes) to better hoard. Please keep this, devs!

The level up etc. items keep making me hungry, it's genuinely great

I'm less keen on how hard it is to grind for certain items, but if I soldiered through FGO for five years I can survive this (I think)

That said, I don't think characters level up when you fight. That is ridiculous and would stop me from playing if the leveling costs became too high

Please let us play with the S- and A-Class Devils in Secret Club? :(

The chats are fun and cute, but I wish we had more...

Why don't the A-Class Devils have the boards like the L- and S-Classes? I want to learn about everyone!

Being able to have one of the Demon King's "assets" take up the whole home screen is both sexy and hilarious XD

The most YMMV opinion of them all: I wish the story segments were longer and that there was a way to do a kind of "Last time, in Chapter 1-(X)" to keep story info from being lost in the stream of battles

But in the interest of keeping things optimistic around here, I have one more impression to make:

One look and I fell in love. And then I saw his potential L card/scene in the final trailer and fell even harder!!

I would feel dislike toward him re: Minheok and the Devils, but as far as he's concerned the sandwich that he rang up (MC) keeps yelling at him. I'm satisfied

My excitement at his L card reached such insane heights I started writing something starring him. That is a sign if nothing else!

...So yeah, I'm cautiously optimistic and will hopefully have even more to say soon. :D

Deadpool is sometimes voiced by Nolan North in video games that have Deadpool in it (who is the voice you hear in the second video above and he’s also the voice of Deadpool in Marvel versus Capcom).

Am I saying that a Deadpool-esque Desmond could be interesting? Absolutely.

But we’re going to focus on Deadpool and Ezio meeting in this one…

So the thing is… Deadpool breaks the fourth wall. He even calls Nolan North in his game XD

So if Ezio and Deadpool were to meet for whatever reason (hey, Ezio got into Soul Caliber, anything is possible at this point), it would be total chaos because Deadpool is not only a wildcard but he has the ability to cheat, and find out what will happen next.

Hell, Deadpool could totally call Ezio ‘Chris’ or ‘Redfield’ or ‘Boulder Puncher’ because Roger Craig Smith who voices Ezio voiced Chris Redfield in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (and most mainline RE games up to RE6) as a reference and it’ll make sense because nothing makes sense when it comes to Deadpool.

Deadpool could even go “I know a Desmond. Well, I know his name, people say we sound alike.”

Although, considering Deadpool’s personality, he and Ezio could easily be more like rivals, especially if Deadpool is targeting the same person Ezio plans to assassinate. He is a merc, after all.

Will they be friends? More like reluctant allies on Ezio’s side, although Deadpool would definitely say they’re BFFs and maybe even flirt with him. Ezio would think Deadpool is too dangerous and destructive to be a member of the Brotherhood but he wouldn’t necessarily think Deadpool needs to die because he believes Deadpool will do the right thing when push comes to shove. (Also, he’s an Assassin, shady allies are pretty much part of the whole ‘we work in the shadows’ deal anyway)

Deadpool would think Ezio is fun but also a bit too much of a ‘goody two shoes’ (compared to him, anyway). He’s always been a wildcard and that won’t stop simply because he spent a few days partnered with Ezio.

Hell, Deadpool would take a contract from a Templar if he feels like it but… he won’t kill Ezio.

At best, it would be more or less a friendly sparring match.

If there was going to be a story where the two of them meet, it could easily fall for the ‘fight in the first act because of some kind of misunderstanding, team up on the third act’ setup of many crossover specials.

obvs as y'all know recently and just in gen., i guess, writing- i love crafting worlds and stories where anything can happen and just creating scenes above all else, like getting lost in the details of everything. I love getting lost in my own world and making myself happy as most self-indulgent writers do (and showing off my legitimate skill in a proper form of writing after doing shitpost-y things for so long is pretty rejuvenating, XD). And upon going back to some of my older, posted works and wips, I still laugh at the dumb shit I thought was the best stuff ever and now find myself giving those ideas a refresher like my last writing update, because it's still a legitimately enjoyable read.

i love sketching for similar reasons, but more so to visualize a fuzzy, almost-there idea, usually about fashion. Like recently I re-drafted some outfits for a fic idea I had, in order to make the world and designs make sense in my head. And I redesigned an existing outfit, running with certain themes and embellishments in design. I'm so happy I can churn out simple sketches like that when i really put my mind to it and feel content with the finished product nowadays. I feel accomplished as a hobby artist now and it's all thanks to heavy online research, a few how-to books, and putting effort into one art class. It's the second hobby of mine that I want to be good at, almost as much as my writing. Speaking of, I sometimes draw what I write or dream about because it's that prominent in my head.

Past times:

I really like playing the simpler games in life- not as much in the vein of it being less difficult or busy, but more so with fewer controls, interesting mechanics, and a captivating style that I can easily fuck around in or beat some levels for a few hours. Bring on the (spider) solitare (only 4 suit sucks ass why do i do this to myself), jewel quest (FUCK YOU CROWS), barbie's fashion show (SINGLE DREAM-), zoo tycoon (fuck guest happiness), and sonic adventure or x-men of course.

MMD vids are v neat, like I know a handful of choreos that are fun as past midnight exercises to get my blood pumping and i get to discover new songs and learn more about other languages at the same time! Also the aph as mmd crack vids are the best whether its them making 'i hate this' or 'yeah im hot shit' faces or being completely into it as they're forced to dance or simply copying a vine. Like, they give me brainrot and serotonin at the same time its so fun. I love seeing all the different outfits for mmd vids in general, too, on top of new covers i never would've known about.

I really love analyzing things in general, actually. It's how I learn most of the things I do and know now, even though it technically causes me to lose large chunks of time because all i'm doing is staring at the damn thing, XD. Sometimes (all the time) I'll look at a gif or vid of a character changing their facial expression as they do/say something and I'll be completely enthralled by it. Something similar happens when I stare at REALLY GOOD artwork. I think it's the technical part of my brain trying to figure out the individual elements which make up whatever that thing is, like what facial muscles are being used to convey that emotion or mix of them, what the character is feeling, how the lighting or shading of the environment or extra details in editing affects said expression, etc. And for art, I'm thinking of the lines, posture, composition, object placement, color palette, negative space, tone, and all that jazz you learn from studying art.

Scrapbooking is a fun pastime for me that's extended from celebratory cards to actual gifts to my personal sketchbooks. It's part of the "creating something out of nothing/seeing what you can create with some basic templates and decorations" kind of mindset. And it makes me happy because I get to be creative and my family members and friends (even my employer) love them as part of their gifts every time and come to expect it from me each holiday, so I'm constantly encouraged to do it in the best way. I've recently kinda gone overboard on using ribbons and charms for the spiral and stickers and washi tape for the actual book itself on my sketchbooks, but I find myself wanting to draw in it more because I did that, lol.

I love rewatching the things I love. I usually have the same commentary about it, but its nonetheless enjoyable. And I never know what new thing I'll discover about it next, even if i've seen it over 50 times and only have it on as background noise and don't actually watch it. And yes, I will easily let something play on repeat at least that many times in my lifespan as well (like, a full day of it, at least).

wait, whats the difference between machine embroidery and hand embroidery?

Hand embroidery is done by hand. you can use tools to get the pattern on the fabric. (Or buy fabric with the thing already printed on it. This is how some kits are.) But as the name implies the stitches are done by yourself. Which also means there's a learning curve & it does take a lot more time. ^^; (It takes me awhile too because I'm prone to pain issues. and repetitive strain injury isn't fun, but yeah.) Both the kits I bought used 8 and 9 different stitches. which meant I had to learn 8-9 different techniques. & the witch hat I came up with used a couple as well. (I was winging it. >.< so I don't know everything I did.) &I can't remember who many stitches my butterflies used. (I don't feel like many?) But it's safe to say you learn a lot. & there are stitches you might even think "WOW!I love this!" or "WOW this sucks" (lol, me with Bullion stitch.) Machine embroidery is more so using a really specialized (And expensive) sewing machine. (i.e. you gotta look for a machine that does embroidery) & from my understanding it's very loud. (sensitive ears D=) From googling it, it seems hard, and it's because I think a lot of it is troubleshooting, figuring out your machine but also figuring out your pattern, I think too tension of thread can cause some problems... (it sorta makes me think of those resin machines xD for 3d printing. cause that also has a lot of trial and error, but once you get good at it, and understand it, its fun. I think?) So there's defs a learning curve. & It doesn't seem "easier" as your going from the technology perspective. (Like as someone who does hand embroidery, if I can't do a stitch, I'll do move to one I know I can do. example: Heart on the Love Story piece, the two deers. That was supposed to be a lazy daisy stitch, filled in with a satin stitch, I tried the lazy daisy, didn't like how it looked, so I did a stitch I know more. one I feel more confident with. That's sorta a pro with hand embroidery, if you don't know the stitch or feel comfortable with it, you can change to something you like more, and practice the other ones on a some practice fabric or just move to the preferred more comfortable stitch. & I've heard of people doing similar for french knots. Some people don't like them, and will opt for something like enjoy/like more, or beads. It's not bad. For machine embroidery it's more like if it's wonky, it's going to be trouble shooting to make sure the machine nails it. Which also means re-setting up the machine, getting more thread ready, new fabric etc... This also would mean I'd pesume,going in to the program and fiddling with the pattern. But again - I don't know! I haven't done it, but from what I've seen a little bit, this seems like that's a slightly "con" to machine embroidery. Like its more trouble shoot-y which means the learning curve could be steeper. and that's not a terrible thing. It just seems more like it could be slightly frustrating. But I do think Machine embroidery is cool. Like it's very pretty.) There's a youtuber I watched recently who won a embroidery machine and her video was really cool. Basically you play as like a dragon rider and you fight against other dragons in a couple different game modes. There’re four (4) playable classes right now, and it’s very fun. Kind of battle royale-y but also not quite? If you wanna see some gameplay before installing there’re a couple of videos and there are videos on the steam store as well hehe

I was stuck on Skyrim for a while, xd. Wanted very badly to be a werewolf 😭✋🏻 still such a great game 😔🤌🏻

Other games I enjoy are Dead By Daylight (horror survival thing, available on steam for pc and most if not all consoles), Empires of The Undergrowth (an ant colony game type thing, more tactical than anything) and WolfQuest (the newest edition)!

You know what!!! Every time I see people answer this question they seem to list the popular fics everyone already knows of?!? I basically check the Sun/Reader tag several times a week and read basically everything that pops up that seems interesting and has a fairly skilled writing style. So I will throw my current faves at you all :) they all are written very well and one even leans a fair bit into prose-style writing which I find enjoyable! Note these are all x reader’s cause that’s basically the only thing I read lmfao 🤣

What’s the Moral Here? - oh THIS ONE!!!! TOP fave at the moment. I love it a lot. The writing style is very descriptive and the way the author describes emotions in particular feels very raw, like it just HITS you aaahhhdhg Sun is fairly teasing and a little mean in this, but still pretty civil and there is a more friendly relationship growing here.

Celestial Syzygy - I found this one via @/echoingkarma’s drawings for it! I love when people doodle for their own fics fjsnfnsg. Sun’s his usual cheery self in this one, and the reader is such a sweetie omg. That doesn’t mean they just stand there and take shit though! There’s also a fair bit of interaction with the glamrocks, and I like how each of them is written! Some fun scenes such as reader getting hit in the head by a flying golf club. Lmfao

All Around the Mulberry Bush - Reader works in Parts & Service, gets to spend a good amount of time interacting with the Glamrocks as well as the Attendant :) A fair amount of Sun’s POV which I love to see hehe

Virus - Pizzaplex is being rebuilt after the events of the game. Reader is a roboticist/programmer who has been hired on to try to fix Moon’s virus. Sun is a cutie :) Reader does have mad anxiety though so this is definitely a slow-burn, they talk to Sun remotely until after Chapter 10 (I don’t remember the exact chapter number chsnfsg)

Lost and Found - post-fire if I’m remembering right? I need to re-read :v but either way, Pizzaplex has been abandoned for a VERY long time, you go in and find a veeeery broken Sun, who is still functional and briefly chases you around before you get hurt and he’s like oh shit sorry. Then you bring him home! Free cat lol. Anyway Sun is riddled with anxiety and trauma in this one and has some really unhealthy coping mechanisms. Moon is ‘gone’ for about the first half of the fic but Sun’s got a Moon plushie and it’s adorable and makes you sad af ;-; this one also has art at the bottom of chapters sometimes!

Mi first draw to the fic? General of the First Order, Armitage Hux. I'm obsessed with that bastard, or rather, with the potential of what the canon could have had given to us, but finally didn't.

At first was a little bit daunting reading a 4 chapter unfinished fic with > 75k word count, but I decided to give it a go. I was engrossed with chapter 1 and 2, but what made me 150% invested in the story was minisode III, with all regarding the Finalizer and the quest of it's people for survival; it was amazing with the way you describe it, the tension, the urgency, the despair without failing into defeatism (Hux being a boss indeed.).

I remembered being pretty happy when I saw the update for minisode V (the mission on Naboo is one I re-read regularly), and I literally SCREAMED when a saw the update for minisode VI (I was at the office. I threw a glass of water to the floor to cover my fangirling from my coworkers XD) Needless to say, that that minisode grabbed me by the throat and will never let me go.

I came in for the terrible, uptight, brilliant and damaged Armitage, with the plus incentive of getting gingerpilot. I don't want to start waxing poetry about Poe, because I wouldn't have enough characters left on this ask, but that man? *Sigh* live rent free in my heart since TFA

BUT! all of this gushing for this two, is no a disparage for the Reylo. Canon Raylo never got my disapproval, but also never got me beyond "they're kinda cute together. That could be interesting" But their dinamic in the first of the new is richer a deeper, and a really absorbing facet of the story.

And your take and expansion of the secondary characters? They are everything. I wish Kes was my father (mine is not bad, but is in no way in Kes league. In. No. Way); Dopheld and Kaydel are (sometimes murderous) precious beans who deserve everything good in the galaxy; THE KNIGHTS OF REN, ALL OF THEM (TRoS made them dirty, is all I gonna say), I'm so pleased of how you tied them to the canon in their identities that I cannot believe how attached I am to them; and the Xionos, for better or for worse (fuck Hamada), and all of those from the Colossus and Resistance.

Everything in this story in rich, complex, and spellbinding, made with care, love and passion, like a intricate trapestry full of colors, forms a storys, open to us to appreciate and be in awe at.

You've brightened my whole day, thank you so much for this message! I'm so excited you have a special place in your heart for Minisode III -- its "haunted ghost story" vibe was really fun to write. And I also loved writing Kes and Hux's dialogue in Minisode VI, what with the political dynamics between the Resistance/New Republic and the First Order as they learn to work together.

And of course, Dopheld Mitaka and Kaydel Ko Connix grabbed their very own side plot and ran with it, so good for them!! I have a very disorganized text document full of scene ideas for Rey and Ben, Poe and Hux, Mitaka and Connix... maybe someday those will see the light of day?? Right now they're an incoherent jumble of words, haha.

Honestly and truly, thank you so much for reaching out. The past year has been rough for me writing-wise. I've actually been trying to write an original novel, which should be fun and exciting, but I keep doubting my creative ability, convinced my plot ideas and original characters are no good.

Further fueling my anxiety, the novel I want to write revolves around controversial real-world topics that are really important to me personally, but I dread the thought of not doing these topics justice and unintentionally triggering online discourse. It really doesn't help that I sit on the sidelines of fandoms I love (i.e. Star Wars, Our Flag Means Death), watching fic writers and fan artists get harassed for any missteps -- real or perceived. It breaks my heart and leaves me too scared to write anything for fear of accidentally causing offense.

His lips are lightly pursed into a small smirk, they look perfect on his sharp jawline. His face is framed by a mop of thick silver hair that flicks out in an unruly manner over his cheeks and the back of his neck. The man is clad in a black coat, grey denim jeans, and a low cut v-neck tee, where you can make out his defined collarbones disappearing beneath the lapels of his long coat.

“Aww.. did I scare the poor little thing?” The man coos out gently, and the twisted smile he wears tells you very clearly this was all just fun cruelty to him.

“O-Of course you did! Who the fuck does tha-“

“Shihai” he interrupts you.

“What?”

“My name is Shihai Kuroiro, but you may call me Kuro.”

Despite what little canon gave us, the dca fnaf sub fandom has provided so much lore and ideas and content even if it is mostly fanon but even so the creativity and the headcanons and heck even the re-writes are all so fun and interesting and i love how we all just latched onto these two funny robot jesters and decided to make them so much more than what canon gave us!

Also all the au’s people make are sooo so so good! Whether they be AU’s in an entirely different setting or rewrites of the canon material the creativity is just so lovely and inspiring to see! And fnaf aside, my love for clownery, jesters and even celestial themes in general were enough to get me latched on near the beginning too xD

Oof ok.... well... more platonic/qpp themes for sure :’D It’s already very rich in found family content and while there is a lot of ambiguity in various relationships between the jester bots and other characters (lookin at the y/n content specifically) i still feel a lot of it is more pushed toward the romance sides of things, even when its ambiguous/up to interpretation. :’D

Which is fine! It’s usually the biggest part of every fandom, romance and shipping and the like given it is the most popular/on demand trope and i’ve nothing against that! But even so a lil more platonic/qpp representation would be nice to see ;v;

Coffeh's g/t hot takes (which are probably very unpopular opinions)

1. Ok, the first thing I wanna talk about is fearplay, cause I've spent most of the time not truly understanding what it was, but now after catching some meanings I have opinions. So, I agree with what most people say about fluff. A pure fluff g/t story is boring (imo), and to me, what makes g/t interesting is the angst involving the different power dynamics. But there's another side to it too which is the opposite end of the spectrum, the fearplay. So, what I believe some people don't understand is that fearplay accentuates the difference in power between the giant and the tiny a lot. It's great to show jerkish giants and dangerous situations, but if the writer's aim is to make the giant and the tiny to be friends, fearplay shouldn't be treated as casual banter. As I see it, being tossed around against your will, trapped and loomed by a being that's bigger than a freaking building is a traumatizing experience. How will the writer convince me to root for this friendship when the giant likes to assert dominance over the tiny so much? That's not equality, and with inequality, there's no friendship. Sure, no problem in making the giant a jerk at first who changes and learns from it, but if they're not regretting their past actions towards the tiny, how the heck will I be comfortable with this "friendship"? How will I even root for it? I'm not talking about any specific story here, I saw this in a LOT of g/t stories over the years. It's super uncomfortable, and I don't see many people talking about it. I keep hearing about "fearplay is good fearplay is awesome" but is it really? Sure, if you have smth for sub/dom dynamics who am I to judge you, but I don't like it. And the "with consent" fearplay is the worst for me, cause it implicates that the tiny likes to be dominated by a much bigger and superior being than them. It's just a bunch of red flags to me. So, recapping: fearplay is good when used for dangerous situations and by either evil giants or jerk giants, as long as said jerk giant who's supposed to be friends with that tiny learns from it and regrets it. Fearplay accentuates the difference in power between the giant and tiny and feels more of a traumatic experience to the tiny than what the writers make it seem to be.

2. Man-eating giants, oh boy. Okay, this is a plot device to show danger and it can be really good, but, are you WILLING to write about this? I say this as someone who has a story with bloodthirsty giants, and as I was digging deeper into the concept I had to tame it A LOT because it's just too heavy for me to tackle. Keep in mind that in our world, giants that eat people would be basically c*nnibals. Will you be able to handle this subject in your story? I mean, you don't need to focus on it much, it's what I did with my story. But it can't be taken lightly either. I saw some g/t stories over the years that had giants who casually ate people but became friends with a tiny, and it was so weird. I mean, it wasn't tagged as v*re, if you want to write about v*re, just tag it man. But making a friendship between a tiny and a giant who just casually EATS PEOPLE, and they even keep teasing about eating the tiny, please don't do that??? It's a whole 'nother level of "what the f". Pls tag your crap. And if you want to write about man-eating giants, don't normalize it? It's not smth good at all??? It baffles me the number of stories that I found that had this. It's worse than the pet trope.

3. I don't like when the g/t community compares tinies to animals or portrays them as such. Like, when the tiny is portrayed as a poor little fragile being that can do nothing by themselves. I'm not talking about the g/t imagines and the "oh I want to sleep in a pocket" posts ashshsh, I'm just talking about tinies who are characters in a story. This doesn't happen often, but I don't like when tinies are so, infantilized. I think I saw someone talking about this too. When the tiny is treated like a kid, I just don't like it. Tinies can be vulnerable, heck they can be weak, but it's worse when they're treated like little poor kids and animals by the giants. It's just another way to accentuate the difference in power between the tiny and a giant, but in a way that's completely the opposite of fearplay. Giant/tiny friendships are tricky. As I see it, if the power difference barrier isn't surpassed, then it doesn't work. And when the tiny keeps being treated as a little creature that can't do anything by themselves, it just makes the friendship feels unequal. That's how I see it.

4. We need more interaction in this community. A lot of people here are lurkers who don't say a thing and only like the posts. I'm not saying that people should force themselves to interact, that's not it, but because this community is so small, when most people don't interact at all, it becomes kinda dead. I remember when I posted a g/t story once, and I got only likes and basically no comments. I don't wanna sound ungrateful, the likes are amazing! But the lack of comments, the lack of interaction, really diminishes my motivation ngl. And I only say this cause I saw some people saying it too, it happens with other writers. Anyway, what I meant is that you shouldn't force yourself to talk or interact, that's not it, but doing so is very much appreciated and makes this community more fun, since it's such a small community anyway.

FLEE: Certainly! There's the whole selective breeding- or forced marriages thing happen in most burrows. Some are a little more encouraging of free will than others.

In Leo's specific burrow community- humans are killed on site- doesn't matter if they're weak, injured, elderly or an infant.

Sometimes if a hybrid were to give birth to a normal- human looking child that doesn't have any mutated features- they're killed instantly.

For people with Wings like Leo- they're forced to go off on their own to search for food and water- even if they're quite old or young. I guess they're the seekers. If they're injured in the process they're still sent out- unless they've lost all capability of flight.

There's limited resources, so if they're permanantly downed and can't reproduce- they're killed. Same goes for any other hybrid- however if they've recieved a permanant disability they're killed off- not even kept alive to care for children.

It's a harsh world- but with limited food and water, it's just what they have to do.

Fortunately The group have not encountered Leo's home YET. Zara's burrow is a little kinder.

SWUP: Yes!! It's a love hate relationship between the 2. Derricks really likes to stir the pot with her.

She's so over it, wants to get smoothies and chilli frie- oops wrong show. jkjk

But yeah, SWUP doesn't have many reoccuring enemies- she's a very strong woman and an encounter with her usually ends up with her enemy being scarred--- physically or mentally in the worst way.

Sometimes it's intentional. Other times, she just looks so scary her enemies will piss themselves in fear.

LuckyBen!AU: He doesn't use his grandpas position often. Of course it doesn mean discounted flights- hehe- Plumbers would bend over backwards to help him get to locations thinking it would benefit them and their own positions.

And yes some trolling is done- but it's far and few between.

He also takes advantage of the plumbers who really like to gossip about secret missions. Most plumbers assume he's in the know.

Exactly, Hex has know reason to see Ben as a threat, maybe a tad bit annoying, but it's like having a nephew. Often he'll tell Ben to "play nice" with Charmcaster- I mean Charmcaster is a little bit like a loaded gun at times, tad bit unhinged- but less crazy then the OG verse.

Hex hates it when Charmcaster barges in on him to bitch about Nekomata.

GECKO: ooH, my bad ;; Kai and Crystal were the two other people in the trailer. Yes Gecko has a trio/quadro main character group.

Crystal a little bit unhinged herself, and crazy strong- loves a laugh and is just a goofy girl.

Kai is a little more uptight- like there's a stick up his ass. He's so strict and well maintained that it's irritating.

Crystal does everything in her power to push his buttons. Sometimes it works out, cause Kai loosens up, maybe has a laugh too. Sometimes it ends up with Kai using Mac as a meat sheild.

Together these two are Mac's worst nightmare. They torment him on a regular. They might both be hot- but god. Please leave poor Mac alone, he's going to go grey before he's 25!!

They're both fun characters though, they mean no harm... kind of. They're also quite protective of Mac. They're basically all the same age, but because Mac got his gecko a lot later than everyone else- the usual age is like 6-12years old- he's like a baby to them.

OKAY SO Mass Effect 1-

Stars help me, I was honestly hooked right from the start?? Like even in Legendary Edition (the combined trilogy just re-released in one "can play it on one system + minor improvements", for anyone who doesn't know) where it's smoothed out, of course it's obvious that ME1 is a decade old... but the foundation for these relationships are all there and gods I love them already.

Like - Kaiden right off the top is a delightful good fightin lad, what the hell. I've heard that he's viewed as 'bland' by a good portion of the fan community but I dunno, he's a delight and even more complex by the time 2 rolls around and you encounter him on Horizon, it was honestly Ashley I was way more meh about - mostly because before you can learn about her family history/etc, she comes off as hella xenophobic and I was immediately offended for my growing space family that she didn't like/trust all the aliens around, pfff.

(she gets redeemed a bit through further actions/evolving thoughts, but I thought in retrospect it was a bummer that they didn't flip the order there, give her a chance to be liked before the complicating factor of being so rude about aliens >:c that then she could grow from... ah well. Apparently she has a good arc but uh, let's just say I chose Kaiden at the "key junction" in the latter part of the game so I won't be seeing anymore of Ashley uh... anytime soon, haha.)

Garrus??? Is??????? The ABSOLUTE best???????????

I liked him from the start, I'm always a bit of a sucker for a rogue-detective "the system won't bring this bastard to justice, so I've got to" type and all their moral shadiness XD But he just gets better, honestly, and where I'm at in ME2 (right before the Reaper IFF mission, as of typing this, with everyone's loyalty!) I am only digging myself deeper into this hole-

Wrex is AMAZING I love fightin' middle-aged krogan bastard, gods. Liara is great too, I'm a sucker for a wlw relationship (playing fem!Shepard, so) - buuuut I'll admit she's a bit more one-note in ME1. Last week while I was still on ME1 I remember hearing (while trying to dodge spoilers) that her arc is really good, though. I think they leaned a little hard on the 'innocent but sexy' sterteotype on her (so despite the yikes aspect of a few of the things I've learned in ME2, lol, I actually really like the complexity that's been added to her character.)

Saved Liara first, so by the time I got to Noveria and had the standoff with Benezia there was the chance to have emotions over Liara having to face her TwT and of course, I made the questionable but quality decision to free Queen Rachni heheh. no ragrets

More than a blow-by-blow of my choices though I totally wanna take the chance to say that even in the mild jankiness of ME1 (goddammit, the Mako.... please..... please just go up this impossible cliff I just want to resource hunt-) the way that the lore, both obvious/key to main plot and the lesser/filler/background/world-building kinds... I just love it. It incorporates it well, you can go ham in the codex learning more, or just dive into the basics - it's clearly a complex galaxy (and they do an even better job in 2 of fleshing it out further), and it never really felt overwhelming. It was pretty natural figuring it all out-!

Plus the interesting implications of resource hunting amongst the sapient races, and the little side missions you better bet I did every one of- there's so much rich depth in the story if you do 'em!! (And that lead with that Keeper side mission...? Looking back, damn, clever foreshadowing-!!!)

And oh my gods, Ilios??? hell yeah. I loved that mission so much, especially having Garrus & Kaiden with me when talking to the hologram/computer, and more than anything, that last sprint in the Mako trying to get to the jump before it closed-???

Also mannn I love a good setpiece, and having to go up the side of the elevator, space-side?? such a cool setup!!

Plus it felt good having been Paragon enough (as simple as the good v bad vibe system is, I don't hate it, lol) to avoid one of the Saren fights, ngl. And the er, "second fight" with Sovereign-Saren.... hell yeah

... I'll admit I had to double check my choice re whether to save the Council. I did in the end, but I swear, sometimes the way they phrase things I'm like ".... okay but Garrus is right, defeating Sovereign is more important than these few leaders??????" woops. Listen, priorities, is all I'm saying..... (￣ヮ￣|||)ゞ

So I'm only up to right before the Reaper IFF Mission, so I don't know the ending, etc etc lol. That said, I've just finished every side mission I've found with the exception of the Shadowbroker Quest and the Arrival Quest (I've heard the latter basically leads into ME3, and the former is best either right before the Omega 4 jump or in postgame).

So from the start - fuck yeah fuck yeah what a high adrenaline start Shepard noooooo but also yes save Joker aH-

I loved this setup, seriously - especially forcing Shep into this situation, having to work with/for Cerberus, and the compelling reasoning given behind "why" they do what they do (I especially found it a good point that the Salarians have the Task Force, the Asaris the Commandos, the Turians the- etc... like, true, when you put it like that, having a similar group advancing human interests/solving human interstellar problems is pretty reasonable...). That said, I love too that it really isn't shied away from how Cerberus is nonetheless fucked up - or its at least done fucked up stuff.

Listen, I still think some messed up stuff is gonna be revealed in 2's endgame......... after that Horizon mission and the Collector's ship???? TIM I SEE YOU YOU SHADY MF-

I'm so so glad on a gameplay level they nixed the Mako style exploration. A few Hammerhead missions are fine and a lot more focused than the slippery ass navigation in that glorified ATV, pfff. The probes are a neat way of getting after similar resources - and more importantly, having good levels and some good hubs (the Zakera Wards, Omega, Ilium, etc) is way way more fun than having a more 'sprawling' space that is.... a lot of empty nonsense, lol.

Then there's the fact that we get Joker right off the bat and you can interact with him so much - and him and EDI??? Get out gods I love them. Kasumi is so right when she says they sound like a bickering old married couple lol. I have a terrible feeling that some shit is gonna happen with EDI..... but I don't think she's evil as-is, at least.

Side-eying the hell out of those "access forbidden" parts of her that she doesn't even know.... and the fact that her AI core has a locked door access................... something's gonna happen gdi LEAVE OUR ADOPTED AI ALONE.

In general, I love how many levels ME stepped up in two with complexity and interwoven narratives!! Like, to the point it'd be almost a drag to replay ME1, even though it was fun going through it (if occasionally a bit tedious with the cookie cutter rando planet science/mine facilities, lol). Like, just from how fun and interesting ME2 is, mostly! more of all the pre-introduced races, plus new ones, plus more filling in of intragalactic politics, and more interesting implications of all these space-faring races mixing....

Like, fuck, the fact that they actually dive into the mixed morality and horrors of the genophage, and you can confront Mordin on it, for good reason, yet he still stands his ground, until finally some bits of his loyalty mission seem to... affect him, and I'm guessing might set up things for 3 with him? Unsure, but either way, damn, the fact that they start to dig into it...

And Taliiiii my beloved forbidden alien wife TwT her loyalty mission was SO GOOD. I love how varied they all are?? Getting to defend her and discover what she'd unwittingly been a part of-!!

Zaeed is a bastard but tbh I love that he is and that he's unapologetic in him - and Kasumi omg, best thief. A heist?? Gods, yes- I love our couch lounge chats XD

Samara is..... illegally.......... she's an illegally powerful and beautiful and eloquent MILF...........................

And seeing how there's this interesting cultural subset, and the struggle with the Asari in that they unquestioningly accept/respect justicars, but also know that the impact outside their culture is a diplomacy nightmare waiting to happen-)

Honestly I would love more interactions between teammates on the ship, but there's already so much the devs had to balance I can't blame 'em for minimizing, heh. But suffice to say I also love Miranda and Jacob, even if I'm softest for my alien crew XD Hell yeah Jacob, we'll get loud and spill drinks on the citadel indeed TwT

I could write a whole essay on how much I love Garrus oTL Perhaps because he and Tali are the throughlines from 1 on your 2 crew, I have some of the strongest feelings about them... but genuinely, he was one of my favorite companions in the first game, and how you find him as Archangel in two? Getting to help him fight his way out after he's gone nearly 48 hours straight fighting off three gangs alone, jfc. His vengeance quest and what can happen there.... That line? fuck me, that line -

I have so many thoughts about TIM (The Illusive Man) and Cerberus.... theories evolving galore............... and like, what the hell!! Omega 4 going to the center of the galaxy is such a cool twist, goddamn - though my heart still breaks at losing Kaiden (his line if you haven't romanced him?? about feeling like he lost a limb when he lost you??? holy shit.... but I also can't blame him for not trusting Cerberus to the point of it affecting his ability to trust Shepard... like fuck Shep go after himmmm) I'm really excited to see where that goes since he comes back in 3, and what the fuck happens with Cerberus bc while I love the fact that obviously there are a lot of people in it for the right reasons, doing good work, there are those that are doing the opposite, and I have a very bad feeling about where TIM will end up landing....

All that said though I need to do the Reaper IFF mission (where I'm lightly spoiled as to getting That Boy, but not how/what happens to make it so - just that it's apparently wise to have all your side missions done before getting him...) and the actual Omega 4 jump. So we'll see what happens and what I think about it from there heheh!

am thinking about throwing together a little writing event to keep me busy while i am suffering through quarantine with my two other roommates. dunno what exactly but i need to be wrapped up in a blanket and be fed with chicken soup while i cuddle with my favs. just for the extra comfort at the moment smh.
